THE INFINITY TREE

When Deacon and Garrett left us our entire world was shattered. On the day before they died, we picked out the perfect Christmas tree and enjoyed our annual tradition of tree trimming as a family - complete with eggnog, cheesy Christmas music, and debates over whose turn it was to add the star at the end of the night. It was perfect.

It is difficult to know which direction to go when the earth is spinning, but what we did know was that honoring our boys was where we would start.

In the weeks that followed the crash, we began receiving packages from around the country.  Dan's high school graduating class orchestrated Christmas for us as a family.  My team at work pooled together money, gifts, time, and love, love, love. Friends and family came together to support us in every way imaginable. We can never repay these acts of kindness that covered us during a time of immeasurable grief.

Mission

What we can do is our best to pass it on. During each holiday season we hope to bring that same love to other families who have suffered the deep loss of a child. We wish that we could give the gift of no suffering but that is not in our power.

What we can do is cultivate the kindness that has been shown to us... and watch it grow.
